XALATAN E/DROP

XALATAN Eye Drop contains latanoprost, a prostaglandin analog used to treat elevated intraocular pressure in glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It works by increasing uveoscleral outflow of fluid from the eye, thereby reducing pressure that can damage the optic nerve. Apply one drop to the affected eye(s) once daily, preferably in the evening. Use as directed by your healthcare provider. Store at room temperature away from light. Avoid touching the dropper tip to your eye or other surfaces to prevent contamination. Common side effects may include eye irritation, increased brown pigmentation of the iris, and temporary blurred vision. Inform your doctor of any existing eye conditions or medications before use. Not recommended during pregnancy without medical consultation. Keep out of reach of children. For optimal results, maintain consistent daily use as prescribed by your ophthalmologist.
