XIGA 10MG contains dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by increasing glucose excretion through urine, helping to lower blood sugar levels effectively.
This medication is indicated for adults with type 2 diabetes as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents. It may also be used in patients with heart failure or chronic kidney disease under medical supervision.
Take one tablet daily, preferably in the morning, with or without food. Follow your doctor's prescribed dosage and duration. Regular blood sugar monitoring is recommended during treatment.
Common side effects may include urinary tract infections, genital infections, and increased urination. Inform your healthcare provider about any allergies, existing medical conditions, or other medications before use.
