In order to improve glycemic control, sitagliptin is recommended for people with type 2 diabetes mellitus in addition to diet and exercise. - Individualized treatment- Dual Therapy: When treatment with the single agent alone, along with diet and exercise, does not provide adequate glycemic control, in combination with metformin HCl, a sulphonylurea, or a PPAR? agonist (i.e., thiazolidinediones).- Triple Therapy : In combination with metformin HCl and a sulphonylurea or with metformin HCl and a PPAR? (i.e., thiazolidinediones) when dual therapy with these agents, with diet and exercise, does not provide adequate glycemic control. - Combination with Insulin.
