For treating major depressive disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder, 50 mg of sertraline should be taken once daily. The daily maximum dosage is 200 mg. Treatment with sertraline for panic disorder, PTSD, and social anxiety disorder should start at a dose of 25 mg once daily.
