Patients with HIV who are undergoing antiretroviral therapy may be prescribed epoetin alfa to treat anemia.
Anemia During Zidovudine (AZT) Treatment: Patients undergoing zidovudine (AZT) treatment for HIV are treated for anemia with this medication.
